Five Non-Surgical Treatments for Men

Botox injections for menContrary to popular belief, cosmetic procedures are not just for women. Both surgical and non-surgical treatments are ideal for both sexes, so why not check them out? Here are five ways to revamp your appearance – without going under the knife:

Dermal Fillers

Do you suffer from crow’s feet, laugh lines and wrinkles? If so, dermal fillers could be just what you need. During the procedure, a solution such as juverderm is injected into the skin and this helps to soften the contours of your face. It reduces creases around the eyes and mouth and can give your face a more supple and toned look.

Laser Hair Removal

If you have a hairy back or bushy toes, laser hair removal can help! It kills each hair at the root and has been show to permanently prevent and reduce regrowth. The treatment is relatively pain-free and works best on light skin and dark hair – although new lasers are being developed all the time.  There are many other ways to control excess hair, but this technique is simple and effective.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical treatment that removes dead skin particles and promotes the growth of new, healthy cells. It polishes the top layer of the skin and helps to reduce acne scars, fine lines and other imperfections. The procedure often takes around 45 minutes (depending on the area being exfoliated) and results can last for a number of weeks.

Varicose Vein Removal

According to the NHS Choices website, varicose veins affect up to three in ten adults. If you suffer from this condition, there are many options to consider. You can wear compression stockings to improve the circulation in your legs, or you can opt for one of the varicose veins treatments on offer. Lasers are used to seal the vein from the inside and stop the blood flowing the wrong way down the leg.

Botox

Excess sweating – medically known as hyperhidrosis – is an embarrassing condition for many. Luckily, Botox injections can solve the problem – so why not find out more? A special formula is injected into the problem areas and this blocks the nerve impulses of the sweat glands without affecting other nerve functions and can help to stop sweating. The full affects should be noticeable after ten days and last for several months.

Non-surgical procedures are used for cosmetic and health reasons, so don’t rule them out!
